Jordan Chad will discuss his new book Christmas in Yiddish Tradition: The Untold Story (NYU Press, 2025). The book examines why Yiddish-speaking Jews frequently cited Christmas as their favourite holiday in Eastern Europe.
Jordan is a multidisciplinary researcher who has received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. He has published academic articles in physics, mathematics, neuroscience and Jewish studies.
